Well, there has been a lot going on. My co-worker and friend, Doug Stokes, has been asking me to watch a video that he loaned me about 2 months ago. I still haven’t had the time to sit down and watch it. Why is time in such short supply these days? I’m glad you asked.

Every weekend we have get-togethers or birthday parties. Yes, EVERY weekend. And there is no end in sight. The house hunt is a never ending rollercoaster. We have put in about 7 offers on houses to date. One of the offers materialized, but we decided that we didn’t want the house after all. It is a very time consuming and emotionally draining process. On top of all this I am trying to diet… yea right. I haven’t lost any weight in about a month. I’m really just trying not to blow up like a balloon.

And, last but certainly not least, is my job. I love working at Banks Power and
working with the most cutting edge diesel performance and diesel cold air intake products. I’m learning a lot and pushing myself to learn more. I’m also right across the hall from the one and only Gale Banks. For those of you that know Gale or have met him, you probably know that he is a super-genius that expects the best from his employees. Gale pushes all of us to work harder and to dig deep into our creative reserves to make things happen. You gotta love working for a guy like that. Well, that’s not exactly true. If you want to be told what to do and you don’t care about the quality of your work, there is always Burger King. The fact that I get to eat my lunch while sitting on the hood of the fastest diesel drag truck in the world is pretty damn cool too.

The weekend just flew by. There is a lot going on at work, so I’m feeling the stress already. I could use an extra day to relax, work out some more and clear my head, but that’s not going to happen.

I should be trying to go to sleep, but I have to get some cash from the ATM, pay some bills, and take a shower because I worked out.

Saturday we looked at houses in Chino Hills and then we went to my nephew’s birthday party. Today I scanned and posted some facebook pictures for a friend. I should have done some cardio, but I’m just not feeling up to it. There is always a lot going on during the weekend and I wish that I could get away and do nothing for a change.

Lately I have not been doing well with my diet. I think that I may have to starve myself for the next 2 weeks so that I can get back on track… But I need the food and the energy for another one of my short term goals (bench 225 for 20 reps). Anyhow, I’m just thinking out loud. I had better hit the bank and get to sleep so that I can start another tough work week.
